Welcome to my studio!

Colour and textile have been a big part of my life since I was a young child beginning with making and colouring my own doll clothes to dyeing wool with natural dyes and spinning, weaving and knitting it.

In the late 70's I began using procion fibre reactive dyes to dye silk for colour healing therapy. What happened next was quite miraculous as in the process of dyeing the silk, a whole other avenue opened up. The dyes and silk together produced amazing patternings and results. I was hooked! Using my sewing expertise from my youth, I began to produce garments and Dyelicious was born.

Over the years I became a serious fabric dyer, producing textiles for another growing obsession, quilting, I still love to quilt, but dyeing has definitely taken over my life and I enjoy it so much that I am now making it my life's work.

FABRIC DYING CLASSES

On-going dyeing classes are available at A Great Notion Quilt Shop in both of their locations: Abbotsford and Langley, BC. Please check their website for specific class dates and times.

For those not in the area, I will be releasing an instructional DVD on dyeing techniques in the near future.

OUR FABRICS

Dyelicious uses only the highest quality 100% cotton and also 100% 19 mm silk satin charmeuse. All the years spent experimenting with various types of dye, dyeing techniques and fibre paid off.

Our dyeing process yields exquisite fabric with deep, intense colour and high crystallization. This is what Dyelicious is known for. We can certainly produce fibre with even colouring if that is your preference.

We also create one of-a-kind pieces with fabulous markings, where faces and animals magically appear during our dyeing process. These are truly remarkable.
